With a bare radiator, heat tends to flow straight up from the radiator and get trapped by the ceiling. Makeup air is drawn from the top of the radiator resulting in the warmer air being reheated while colder air remains on the floor.

With a BattyBuilt custom radiator cover, your radiator will push heat out of the front of the radiator instead of traveling straight up. The makeup air will be drawn from the floor, drawing colder air from the floor first, which allows the radiator to do a better job heating the room.

Cleaner Air

Bare radiators circulate dust, which rises with the heat resulting in your walls, drapery and whatever else may be on the wall (hanging art, shelving, etc.) collecting dust. BattyBuilt custom radiator covers will help capture and control dust, keeping your walls, window treatments and artwork free from dust build-up.

Safe for kids

Radiators can get very hot. All it takes is a small amount of contact to leave a nasty burn and possible scar on a child’s skin. Having covers for your radiators eliminates that risk. We use reflective insulation throughout the interior of each enclosure which directs the heat out the front of the cover while keeping the wood surfaces comfortable to touch. When a radiator is covered, kids fingers can’t come anywhere near the extremely hot coils.
